Awards and Recognition
The 2009-2010 season is our sixth year as a FIRST Robotics team. Below are
some of the awards, recognition, and achievements our team has received over the past few seasons:
2008-2009 season: Fifth Season
Silicon Valley Regional: We won the 2009 SVR Xerox Creativity in Design Award for our
use of innovative materials on the robot. We were also the 7th seeded team!
Davis Regional: We were awarded the Website Excellence Award and were the highest ranking all girls' team.
National Championships: We also had the honor of attending the FIRST Championship in Atlanta. We
were subsequently featured in Full Circle magazine.

2007-2008 season: Fourth Season
Oregon Regional: We participated as Alliance Captains at the Oregon Regional and were the only all-girls team to compete.
Silicon Valley Regional: We were awarded the 2008 SVR Judges' Award and the 2008 SVR Safety Award for our conduct.
Other Recognition: We were profiled in a FIRST/NASA Documentary while at the Silicon Valley Regional. We were also
interviewed by National Public Radio for a feature.

2006-2007 season: Third Season
Pacific Northwest Regional: At the Pacific Northwest Regional in Portland, Oregon, we were awarded the
2007 Website Excellence Award.
Silicon Valley Regional: We won the 2007 SVR DaimlerChrysler Team Spirit Award,
which celebrates extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit through exceptional partnership and teamwork. We participated as alliance captains.
National Championships: At the FIRST National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, we placed
7th in the Curie Field and were the Highest Ranking All-Girls Team nationwide as well as the highest seeded team in our alliance. We were alliance captains and set the record
as the highest nationally ranked all-girls team in the history of the Championships.
Other Recognition: We were profiled by NBC Nightly News for a feature while competing at the FIRST National Championships in Atlanta.

2005-2006 season: Second Season
Pacific Northwest Regional: In addition to being the highest ranking alliance at the Pacific
Northwest Regional, we were awarded the 2006 Website Excellence Award and the 2006 PNR Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) Entrepreneurship Award.
Silicon Valley Regional: We won the 2006 SVR KPCB Entrepreneurship Award again,
which celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit by recognizing a team that has, since its inception, developed the framework
for a comprehensive business plan to scope, manage, and achieve team objectives. We were also awarded the 2006 SVR
Engineering Inspiration Award, which celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering
and engineers within a team's school and community.
National Championships: We once again participated in the FIRST National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia.

2004-2005 season: Rookie Season
Silicon Valley Regional: We won the 2005 SVR Rookie All-Star Award,
which celebrates the rookie team that best exemplifies a young but strong partnership effort and best
implements the mission of FIRST to inspire students to learn more about science and technology.
National Championships: As a result of our performance at the Silicon Valley Regional,
we had the privilege of attending the 2005 FIRST National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. We were one
of only three all-female teams to compete at the national level.
Other Recognition: We were featured in Robot Magazine and were exhibited at the American
Heritage Museum in Palo Alto, California.
