Our third year posed a variety of challenges. Our lead mentor, Emily Ma of IDEO Labs, was in Shanghai during the build season, forcing us to become even more student-led and self-reliant than ever before. Because the team consisted primarily of seniors and freshmen, younger members had to learn on their feet and older members were challenged to facilitate the transfer of a very large body of knowledge to the younger "generation". The team came together to produce Scotty, a defensive robot and extremely dependable scorer. The team once again attended two regional competitions and the National Championships in Atlanta. The season culminated in Gatorbotics establishing itself as the highest nationally ranked all-girls team ever.

The 2007 challenge was entitled Rack 'N Roll. Teams earned points by placing large plastic inner tubes on a swinging structure with three levels (the "Rack") in the middle of the field and by elevating other robots off the ground.

The team continued mentoring underprivileged elementary school children with LEGO robots at Elizabeth Seton School. The team also reworked its leadership structure by creating a technical lead and a non-technical lead to best ensure communication between the build, programming, public relations, finance, website, animation, and spirit subteams.
